 RECENT DANCERS 

 

LIZA ŠIMENC

joined KDP in 2010. She comes from Bled, where she received her early training at the International Ballet School. She completed her education the Ballet Conservatory of Ljubljana and gained experience abroad in Hong Kong (J.M.Wong), Madrid (Victor Ulatte), New York, Amsterdam and Vienna. She began her professional career in KDP dancing main roles in "Odtisi," "Compassion," Project REM, "Crossroads", "Crossroads: Urban Dance Film" and "Triptych". She also danced in "The Jungle Book" and "Detonacija človeka z bombami," collaborations between APT Teater and KDP. 

SIMONA KOČAR

joined Kjara's Dance Project in 2011 after finishing her studies at the ballet school in Kamnik working with Ana Trojnar. She has danced many leading roles in "Compassion", "Crossroads", "Crossroads: Urban Dance Film" and "Triptych". She also danced in "The Jungle Book" and "Detonacija človeka z bombami," collaborations between APT Teater and KDP. 

 

ANJA MODERNDORFER

is a member of KDP since 2012. She comes from Ljubljana, where she received her early training in Plesna Sola Urska Ljubljana. She began her professional training in 2006 at the Theaterschool in Amsterdam. Her professional performing career began in 2010 in the musical production "Hairspray" in The Netherlands. Later, she did many small dance projects in Amsterdam and joined KDP for the production of "Crossroads" and "Triptych". She continues to perform and teach with KDP. She also danced in "The Jungle Book" acollaboration between APT Teater and KDP. 

KAJA LIN J.A.

Kaja Lin J.A. is a Slovenian dancer and choreographer and. She finished her education at the National Ballet School of Slovenia in 2009 and later joined Kjara's Dance Project. In 2010 she moved to Israel and joined Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company II where she stayed for a season. She was a part of Batsheva Dance Company Project for young talents in Tel Aviv and in 2012 joined the Fresco Dance Company, in Israel. During this time she was creating on her own, presenting choreographies in Suzanne Dellal Theatre (Tel Aviv) as a part of Dancers Create Evenings and has been performing original dance works as co-founder, dancer and choreographer with The Foreigners’ Collective. She danced in KDP productions: "Prints" and "Triptych".

TAJDA PODOBNIK

Tajda comes from Ljubljana, where she received her early training at Dance School Urška. She began her professional training in 2011 at the Academy of Dance in Ljubljana, where she is finishing her studies. She has had a chance to work with several Slovenian and foreign choreographers. Her piece which she co-created in 2014 was performed in a number of festivals, including KORPUS, Ukrep, Rdeči Revirji and Festival Velenje. She joined KDP in 2014. She joined KDP in 2014 for the production of "Triptych".

MAJA SONC

joined Kjara's Dance Project in 2010 after finishing her studies at the National ballet conservatory in LJubljana. She has danced in all of the KDP productions: "Prints", "Compassion", "Crossroads", "Crossroads: Urban Dance Film" and "Triptych". She also danced in "The Jungle Book" a collaboration between Anton Podbeškek Teater and KDP. 

 

KATARINA ČEGOVNIK

is a member of Kjara's Dance Project since 2010. She finished The Ballet Conservatory for ballet and music in Ljubljana in 2010. In 2011 she performed with the National Opera and Ballet Ljubljana in "Swan Lake." She continued her professional path and development under leadership of Kjara Starič Wurst at Movement Institute Vija Vaja. She danced many leading roles in "Prints", "Compassion", "Crossroads" and "Crossroads: Urban Dance Film."
